HEAD COACH – STEELFORM WHANGANUI

Whanganui Rugby is pleased to announce the appointment of JASON HAMLIN as the new Steelform Whanganui Head Coach for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Hamlin, who has been Assistant Coach for l0 years, replaces Jason Caskey who retired af the end of the Heartland Championship last year.

Caskey & Hamlin have been a formidable partnership having won four Meads Cups and two Lochore Cups, as well as reaching the play-offs every year during that time.

We received considerable interest in the role and after a robust appointment process the appointments panel unanimously agreed that Jason Hamlin has the experience we need to lead this team as our Head Coach for the next two years. Jason has the passion & desire to succeed and having been part of the coaching team for many years, knows what‘s involved in building a successful team.

I look forward to working alongside Jason and the rest of the management team as we continue to grow the game across the province and continue the success of the Butcher Boys.
